8K Neo QLED: Samsung QN990F and QN900F

The flagship model, the QN990F, takes center stage as Samsung’s premier 8K TV for 2025, offered in sizes from 65 to 98 inches. This model showcases the innovative NQ8 AI Gen3 processor and is equipped with a Glare-Free screen coating designed to eliminate unwanted reflections. Additionally, it incorporates the revolutionary wireless One Connect Box, enabling 8K 120Hz transmission wirelessly from up to 10 meters away.

Samsung touts the QN900F’s capability to achieve up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness—a remarkable feat for 8K televisions, which often struggle due to their compact pixel pitch. This achievement is supported by a reinvented backlight structure. The QN990F not only excels in visuals but also impresses with its robust audio capabilities, thanks to a thoughtfully designed metal frame that accommodates a powerful 6.2.4-channel built-in speaker system delivering 90W of power. Its Object Tracking Sound (OTS) Pro technology ensures that sounds correspond accurately with the action unfolding on screen, enhancing the overall viewing experience.

For gamers, the QN990F provides outstanding performance with support for both 8K at 165Hz and 4K at 240Hz, making it an exceptional choice for high-speed gaming.

4K Neo QLED: QN90F, QN80F, QN70F

Leading Samsung’s 4K offerings is the QN90F series, which extends from 43 to 115 inches. Similar to its 8K counterpart, this series boasts the coveted Glare-Free screen and supports an impressive 165Hz refresh rate. Featuring an Ultra Viewing Angle technology, the QN90F significantly enhances off-axis viewing quality while its bezel-less design contributes to a visually striking, “floating” aesthetic.

Audio on the QN90F is managed by 4.2.2-channel built-in speakers, delivering a robust 60W of power and enhanced sound processing through OTS+ technology, ensuring immersive audio experiences.

The versatile QN80F series, available in sizes ranging from 50 to 100 inches, shares many of the image processing features found in the QN90F, including an upgraded 4.0 channel speaker system powered by 30W equipped with OTS Lite and Active Voice Amplifier Pro technology for clearer dialogue.

To round out the 2025 lineup, Samsung introduces the entry-level QN70F series, accessible in various sizes including 55, 65, 75, and 85 inches, catering to a wide range of consumer needs without compromising on quality.

2025 Samsung Soundbars

Enhancing the home entertainment experience, Samsung presents its new soundbar lineup, with the Q990F leading the charge. This state-of-the-art 11.1.4-channel system comes equipped with support for both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X audio technologies. The design incorporates a new compact subwoofer featuring dual 8-inch active drivers arranged in opposing configurations to mitigate vibrations—delivering pure, resonant sound. Notably, the subwoofer steps away from traditional designs, resembling those found in high-fidelity audio setups.

Additional highlights of the Q990F include HDMI 2.1 inputs, allowing for 4K 120Hz pass-through, alongside built-in support for the Samsung SmartThings Hub and Roon Ready certification to optimize your music streaming experience.

Another standout soundbar, the QS700F, features a unique “convertible design.” This 3.1.2-channel model is suitable for either tabletop or wall-mount configurations. A built-in gyro sensor automatically detects the orientation of the soundbar, optimizing its output to deliver superior Dolby Atmos height effects tailored to the installation type. Along with its compact subwoofer housing a 6.5-inch driver, the QS700F also benefits from Q-Symphony, allowing for synchronized audio between compatible Samsung TVs.

For those interested in exploring the best television options, Samsung’s Neo QLED lineup is poised to set new standards in home entertainment technology. With advancements in both visual and auditory experiences, their latest offerings at CES 2025 showcase the pinnacle of innovation.
