Eli Health’s Hormometer Explained

At its core, the Hormometer represents a significant leap in home health technology. Designed to resemble a traditional thermometer, this device collects saliva and analyzes hormone levels, specifically focusing on cortisol and progesterone. Users can carry out the test easily by placing the tip of the Hormometer in their mouth for just 30 seconds. After allowing approximately 20 minutes for analysis, the device provides a visual readout through test lines, which users can photograph and upload to the Eli app via their smartphone.

Hormone Testing Capabilities

The Hormometer specializes in testing two critical hormones:

  • Cortisol: Known as the “stress hormone,” cortisol plays a crucial role in various bodily functions, including metabolism, immune response, and sleep regulation.
  • Progesterone: This hormone is essential for women’s reproductive health, influencing fertility, menopause, and overall hormonal balance.

The Hormometer also provides the option for “Duo Tests,” allowing users to examine the interaction between cortisol and progesterone. This dual approach offers deeper insights into how these hormones affect each other and overall health.

Accuracy and Reliability

Eli Health emphasizes the accuracy of the Hormometer, claiming it meets or exceeds standards typically observed in clinical settings. The company states that:

  • 97% correlation with FDA-standard cortisol tests.
  • 94% correlation for progesterone when compared to FDA-approved methodologies.

Additionally, Eli Health asserts that the Hormometer is “FDA-registered” and has undergone rigorous third-party validation, ensuring that users can rely on its results for informed health decisions.

Availability and Subscription Model

As of now, the Hormometer is not yet available for purchase, but interested consumers can join a waitlist on the Eli Health website. The anticipated launch date for the product in the United States and Canada is January 2024, and it will be offered through a subscription model to ensure ongoing access to hormone testing capabilities.

The company plans to showcase the Hormometer at major tech events, including CES 2025, where visitors can experience its benefits firsthand.
