EarFun Air Pro 4+ and Auracast dongle: key features, price and availability

The new Air Pro 4+ earbuds are designed with cutting-edge technology, featuring a Qualcomm System-on-Chip (SoC) that supports aptX Lossless audio quality and QuietSmart 3.0 active noise cancelling. The six-microphone noise-cancelling system ensures that your calls are clearer, making them perfect for both personal and professional use.

One of the standout features of the Air Pro 4+ is its AI-powered language translation capability, which EarFun claims will be a game-changer for global travelers and professionals alike. While we await hands-on testing to verify this claim, it’s an exciting prospect for those who often navigate multilingual environments.

Notably, the earbuds utilize balanced armatures paired with 10mm composite dynamic drivers, promising an immersive audio experience. With a substantial battery life of up to 54 hours of total playtime and fast charging capabilities, these earbuds offer the convenience that users seek. Additionally, the Bluetooth technology incorporated allows for multipoint pairing and a low-latency mode, ideal for video streaming and gaming.

When the Air Pro 4+ hit shelves in May 2025 for $99.99 (approximately £79 / AU$159), they will continue to target budget-conscious consumers who refuse to compromise on quality. An earlier model, the Air Pro 4, was well-received primarily for its value and impressive battery life, though it was noted for its complexity in configuration options. It will be intriguing to see if the new iteration simplifies user experience while maintaining its affordability.

In addition to the earbuds, EarFun is also unveiling the EarFun UD100, a USB Auracast dongle with an attractive price tag of just $19.99 (about £16 / AU$32). This device connects via USB-C and streams audio from PCs, tablets, or phones using Auracast over Bluetooth 5.4. The UD100 supports multiple codecs, including aptX Lossless, aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, aptX LL, SBC, and LC3, transmitting at up to 96kHz/24-bit audio quality with an impressive latency of just 20ms.

Both products are set to be available in the US come May 2025, making it a highly anticipated release for technology lovers.
